Have you ever wanted to participate in a contest at an anime convention? What about attending a Sailor Moon panel? What if you could do both in one panel? What about dancing, lip syncing and costume making with a twist of funny? Welcome to the Sailor Man’s Drag Race.
This panel was a race to the finish to be declared Anime World Chicago’s Sailor Man Drag Queen. Christopher was our host Sailor Drag Scout. He chose 5 volunteers from the audience and announced a contest on who would become the Sailor Man Scout of AWC 2012.
Contestants went through stages of elimination of various stages of drag queen-ness. They danced to the death to Sailor Moon songs in Sailor Venus Dance off. They then were to guess the other teams item of choice in Sailor Mars Psychic Test. Lastly, they were to create new Sailor Moon characters, create a costume and backstory, all in thirty minutes.
Contestants came from Chicago to Ohio to Michigan. All were put to the test of who would come on top. Our winner was Sailor Twilight with her finishing move, Sailor Twilight Eclipse. Audience cheered for her victory as she became the champion of Sailor Man’s Drag Race.
Audience members laughed, cheered and danced the night away with audience participation in mini games such as musical chairs and their best impersonation of Sailor Moon’s cat, Luna. This being the 3rd Sailor Man’s Drag Race, it’s safe to say audiences will be dying to see next years contest and desperately wanting to know who will be Sailor Man and who will punish evil from the universe.
Lol I participated and I made a foul of my self and upstaged sailerman XD he wanted me out of tht competition cuz I upstaged him .towards the middle he started losing the audience and ppl left . The audience was dead so the backstage dude told everybody to interact with the audience and I did but wen I got kicked off ppl booed lol
Zeke, you were a riot! We’re happy to see our attendees having fun and being themselves at AnimeWorld! We sure hope Sailor Man wasn’t really too mad.. haha.

LOL thanx i was worried u were and the sailerman thing is an awesome event im glad i joyed my friend actualy got picked but i begged to get his spot XD i just tried to interect with the audience and u were funny till i got kicked out haha jkjk i got a question IS THERE A VIDEO ABOUT IT I WANTS TO SEE IT
